Wat Rajapathikaram near Taksin Bridge

Wat Rajapathikaram, located near the Taksin Bridge in Bangkok, is a third-class royal monastery of the type 'Worawihan.' Situated on Ratchawithi Road at the base of Krung Thon Bridge in the Wachiraphayaban Subdistrict, Dusit District, it stands opposite the Ban Ajarn Farang (House of the French Teacher). The temple was originally established when King Pinklao transformed the former Som Kliang Temple, which was located behind the current Saint Gabriel School. It was well-maintained throughout the reigns of King Mongkut and King Chulalongkorn. Later, King Ananda Mahidol officially renamed the temple "Wat Rajapathikaram.".
