Capella Bangkok Hotel Review

Capella Bangkok is an ultra-luxury hotel that has won numerous awards, including prestigious accolades at both the World and Asia levels in 2024. The hotel offers exceptional privacy, requiring a key card to access the check-in area, ensuring a clear separation between hotel guests and visitors who are not staying at the property.

When booking a hotel, we prioritize its newness and location. Capella Bangkok ticks both boxes perfectly.

From the moment you step into the hotel, you are greeted by a delightful fragrance, likely from Aesop products, as the hotel exclusively uses this luxurious brand. This immediately left a positive impression. ☺️

The welcome drink selection is extensive, including sparkling wine, chocolate cookies, various coffee options, and soft drinks. Impressively, the same menu is offered during check-out, allowing guests to enjoy these treats again. The chocolate coconut cookies were particularly delicious—not overly sweet—and I indulged in several while waiting to check in. 😁

For our stay, we requested a high-floor room for a birthday celebration and were assigned a room on the 9th floor (the hotel has 10 floors). Every room in the hotel faces the Chao Phraya River, ensuring stunning views from any angle. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with pillows that provided a perfect night's sleep. The air conditioning was excellent, and the free mini-bar was generously stocked, including soft Thai snacks and Singapore cookies, which paired wonderfully with the morning tea. The tea selection in the room was diverse and exclusively curated by the hotel.

The room layout featured a walk-in closet and a work desk with a clear view of the Chao Phraya River, making it ideal for morning productivity.

One of the most impressive aspects was the hotel’s amenities, which included mosquito repellent spray, reusable mineral water bottles, nail clippers, and Marvis toothpaste—reminiscent of the premium amenities offered in Thai Airways business class. The hotel clearly places great emphasis on brand awareness.

The bathroom featured La Bottega products, with a special scent created exclusively for Capella. The mineral water provided was Acqua Panna, which we requested in unlimited quantities. 🥰

The spa experience was exceptional, with staff recommending the vitality pool and shower experience. The spa exclusively uses Aesop products, adding to the luxurious feel. I enjoyed the spa services again the next morning after lunch, which was both relaxing and rejuvenating.

In the evening, we booked the Cin Cin Hour and enjoyed three glasses of wine, which were so delightful that we continued the night at Stella Bar. The bar offered a unique pairing of satay skewers with light drinks, creating a memorable experience. 🥂☺️

For dinner, we dined at Phra Nakhon, the hotel’s restaurant, which also serves breakfast. The staff surprised us by singing "Happy Birthday" and presenting a complimentary cake. Appetizers, including unlimited rice crackers, were available throughout the meal.

Later that night, we returned to Stella Bar, known for its luxurious peacock-themed decor. We were fortunate to hear Wei from The Voice perform live, whose powerful voice added to the evening’s charm. The staff from Cin Cin Hour also greeted us again, and we requested two favorite songs. 😁

This stay was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering unparalleled luxury and memorable moments. I highly recommend everyone to experience it for themselves. 💯💯💯
