Experience the original rich matcha flavor

I recently wandered into Talat Noi, one of Bangkok’s most underrated neighborhoods, and it instantly felt like stepping into an open-air gallery. Every corner was covered in colorful murals, street art, and little details that made me stop and take photos, truly it’s an Instagram dream. For someone who loves art and character in a city, this place is a treasure.
Aside from the art-lined streets, I spotted some very aesthetic cafés tucked into old shophouses. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to try them out (a big regret!), but it gives me all the more reason to go back.
Travel Tip: Wear comfy shoes since you’ll be walking a lot, and take your time exploring the alleys—you’ll never know what mural or quirky spot you’ll discover next. Definitely go earlier in the day for softer light and fewer crowds if you want great photos.

I left wishing I had stayed longer, but Talat Noi is now on my must-return list. Next time, I’ll make sure to slow down, café-hop, and soak in even more of its artsy charm.
How to Get to Talat Noi
By MRT and Walk - MRT to Hua Lamphong – Take Exit 2, stroll toward Chinatown’s gate or Wat Traimit. From there, Talat Noi is just a 10-minute walk away.
