Bangkok's super cost-effective 5-star luxury hotel! Per person…

The hotel is part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection and certainly lives up to its reputation. The Athenee features a striking entrance, and we were impressed by the elegant double staircase and its bright, sophisticated lobby. Thanks to our Platinum Elite status, we could check-in at the Club Lounge on the 26th floor, where we immediately enjoyed light snacks and drinks. I must mention the Thai iced tea, available any time the lounge is open. Our corner room on the 23rd floor always had a fresh mint fragrance wafting through the corridor. There's a lovely pool on the 4th floor, which we didn't use, but we did visit the Fitness Center; although not large, it's equipped with enough machines and weights to meet all needs. The Rain Tree Café on the 1st floor offers a wide breakfast selection. It can get busy, but the café is spacious, so finding a seat isn't an issue. We rely on public transportation during our trips, so hotel accessibility is important. The Athenee isn't right next to the Phloen Chit BTS station, but it's still nearby. Most staff members are friendly, eager to help with any need. Special mention goes to Mine (at the Club Lounge), Pranee (our room cleaner), Jason & Brink (at the Front Desk), as well as Jirawat, Narudon, Urkis, and Chok (at the hotel's doors, the first and last people we see when coming and going). A hotel's greatness is not just in the quality of its property but also in its staff's dedication to making guests comfortable and happy. The Athenee Bangkok is such a hotel, and we loved our stay!
