Wat Buppharam Worawihan

Wat Buppharam Worawihan is located along the Buppharam Canal in Soi Arun Amarin 5. The temple is not far into the alley and is on the left-hand side. You will see the ordination hall (ubosot) and the viharn (assembly hall) aligned side by side, facing north towards the alley. The ubosot is built in a traditional style, featuring decorative elements such as chofah, bai raka, and hang hong (ornamental roof finials). The gable is adorned with the emblem of the Sun, which is the personal insignia of Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Sri Suriwong. The ubosot has eight rectangular stone boundary markers (sema) and is a new structure built after the original Wat Buppharam was destroyed by bombing during World War II. The viharn is the only remaining original structure in the temple. It reflects the royal architectural style of King Rama III's era, with chofah and hang hong finials, as well as stucco naga head designs. The gable of the viharn also features the Sun emblem.
