Walk along Khlong Bang Luang, an old community on the Thonburi side.

As you enter the community, you'll be greeted by the scent of old wood mixed with the aroma of coffee from small shops along the canal. ☕
Some of the old wooden houses have been transformed into galleries and small cafes filled with artwork by the new generation. 🎨
The most striking attraction is "Baan Silapin Khlong Bang Luang Artist House" (Baan Silapin), the heart of the neighborhood.
Inside, there are rotating art exhibitions throughout the year, and every Saturday and Sunday, there's a "small puppet show" carried on by the descendants of Master Cho Luang Pho Piak — a rare traditional Thai performance! 🐉
In the afternoon, vendor boats pass by, accompanied by the sounds of vendors selling drinks, snacks, and fruit from wooden boats. It's a warm and lively experience.
For those looking for an activity, we recommend taking a boat tour around the canals. You'll see old houses, riverside shrines, and ancient temples from another side of Bangkok.
Another hidden gem is the famous small cafes "Chom Arun Café" and "Baan Silapin Coffee." Sipping coffee while watching the boats pass by creates a time-traveling atmosphere. 🌅
Khlong Bang Luang may not be a luxurious destination, but it exudes a simple charm that reminds us of the past. “Bangkok in the Past”
The sounds of water, boats, and the smiles of the locals are what make this place so special. 💛
