Big Buddha in the center of Bangkok

Big Buddha in central Bangkok Wat Pak Nam
(Chinese called Shuimen Temple/Wabailan: Qubailan)
The Big Buddha is located in downtown Bangkok
Take the bts silom line (toward bang wa)
Go to Wutthakat Exit 2 and walk for about 25 minutes. It is recommended to take a taxi or bus. There are museums on the first and second floors, and they are free of charge.
Wat Pak Nam is a three-level royal temple located in the Bangkok plain, part of the Chao Phraya River delta, along the Bangkok Ai Canal as the temple is located at the mouth of Khlong Dan which is again separated from Khlong Bang Luang. During the reign of King Mongkut the Phasi Charoen Canal was to the west of the temple. The sides were excavated, so there is a main stream on three sides of the temple, and a small canal on the south side. The Big Buddha was only completed in 2021, with a height of 69 meters, making it the third tallest Buddha statue in Thailand.
The Big Buddha is so obvious in the city. I’m surprised. There are many people who go to the river to take photos of the Big Buddha, but it’s hard to find a good location. The green emerald pagoda behind the Big Buddha is very beautiful. It’s a must-see. To take a look, you need to walk up a few flights of stairs, and you can also look at the back of the Big Buddha from outside. If you have the opportunity, you must come near Thonburi District in Bangkok. There are also many people from different countries coming to make merit.
