Wat Traimit, the Golden Buddha

Wat Traimit Witthayaram is located on Trimit Road, Talat Noi Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District. It is an ancient temple in the lowlands of the temple. It is a wooden house. Its original name was "Wat Sam Chin". It is believed that three Chinese people built the temple together as a temple for making merit.
The golden Buddha statue of Sukhothai Traimit or Luang Pho Thongkham has a name that appears according to the royal title of His Majesty the King (Rama IX) as "Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakorn".

Currently enshrined in the Vihara of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, it is a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, sitting in meditation, with the left hand facing up and resting on the lap, and the right hand placed above the knee, with the tip of the hand pointing down to the ground.

The golden Buddha statue of Sukhothai Traimit or Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakorn is considered the "largest pure gold Buddha statue in the world". The Guinness Book of Records in 1991 officially assessed its value in April 1991. 1990 (1990) and recorded as the largest golden Buddha statue in the world because the value of the gold alone is as high as 21.1 million pounds. #Wat Traimit
