Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang is located on the north bank of Khlong Samrong, Tambon Bang Phli Yai. It is the home of Somdej Phra Sakyamuni Sri Sumet Bophit, one of the largest reclining Buddha images in Thailand. It is approximately 53 meters long from the top of the head to the feet, 7.5 meters wide, and 18 meters high, or as long as a 4-storey building. A covered chapel was later built. Inside the Buddha image, there are 4 floors. There are meditation rooms, rooms for 500 Arahants, and more than 100 paintings about angels, hell, heaven, and moral teachings. The highlight is the 4th floor, which contains the relics brought from Sri Lanka and the room for the heart of the reclining Buddha, which is the only one in the world. Let's apply gold leaf for good luck.
A large, beautiful, and clean royal temple, it is the home of a large reclining Buddha in the Bang Phli area of Samut Prakan. There are statues of Thao Wessuwan and Thao Kumphan standing tall in front of the chapel, which are highly revered by the general public.
The temple is very well-managed. Convenient parking, clean restrooms, currency exchange, complete with flowers, incense, candles, and a place to make merit by feeding fish, a stove, and very big fish. There is also a check-in point for taking pictures.
