The prang of Wat Arun is beautiful both day and night.

Wat Arun (or Wat Chaeng) is one of the destinations for both Thai and foreign tourists. The highlight is the prang, which stands out majestically on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. If you have time, it is recommended to come in the afternoon between 3-4 pm. Walk around the temple grounds, pay homage to the principal Buddha image at the chapel, or rent a Thai costume from a shop near the temple to wear and take pictures. In the evening before the sun sets, take a ferry across to Tha Tien to sit by the water or at a restaurant on the opposite bank. Watch the sun slowly set behind the prang of Wat Arun until it gets dark.
