When it comes to sightseeing spots in Malaysia that you can't miss, Batu Caves is one of them.
This time I went to Batu Caves, so I'll share my experience there.

๐ Gombak, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia
โ5 minutes walk from Batu Caves Station on the Malayan Railway
Batu Caves is the most famous Hindu holy site in Malaysia, and many Hindus visit it.
The first thing you see at Batu Caves is the 43m tall golden statue of the Hindu god Murugan, which is said to be made from more than 300 liters of gold.
It's overwhelming!
Behind it is a colorful staircase to enter the cave, with 272 steps! It's tough! (Sandals might be a bit tight.)
There are also a lot of wild monkeys on the way up the stairs (be careful as they will steal your bags and other items!)
After climbing the stairs, you will find yourself in a cave with a wonderful limestone cave, with many exhibits related to Hinduism.
Surprisingly, there is also a souvenir shop at the entrance to the cave!
