
Jishan Mountain in the ancient city boasts a peak at 465.8 meters above sea level and covers an area of 23 square kilometers. Sweet osmanthus trees cover the mountain. Qinhui Cave, located at the northeastern foot of Jishan Mountain, is a karst cave formed during the Paleozoic Era over 100 million years ago. Legend has it that Qin Hui sought refuge here during the late Jianyan period of the Southern Song Dynasty, hence the name.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.

One of the attractions is the Mandarin Duck Lake, Asia's largest mandarin duck habitat. The Mandarin Duck Lake has witnessed an extremely poignant love story. On May 29, 2001, Jinshan Tea House received an inspection by General Secretary Jiang Zemin.
