I had a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang Resort — it was exactly the relaxing break I needed. From the moment I stepped in, the staff’s warmth and hospitality stood out. I was pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary welcome set of desserts and a fresh fruit plate in my room — such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel instantly at home.

The resort sits right by the beach, offering a serene setting perfect for unwinding. My room was comfortable, spotless, and well-appointed, making it easy to settle in. It’s also a fantastic choice for families — the pool with a water slide was always full of happy kids, and there’s a very laid-back, welcoming vibe throughout.

Breakfast was definitely a highlight. The buffet had a great mix of international favorites as well as local Malaysian delights like nasi lemak and Hokkien mee. I looked forward to it every morning — it really felt like starting the day with a little culinary adventure.

Although the resort is a bit of a drive (around 30 minutes) from George Town, I didn’t mind at all. With the peaceful coastal setting and everything I needed within the resort, it was the perfect place to just slow down and enjoy.
