Beijing in March is the time for flower appreciation, and you can't miss the unique "Magnolia Bird"

Mid-March, the continued high temperatures in Beijing 🌸 have led to the blossoming of flowers one after another, including the Japanese rose, magnolia, peach blossom, plum blossom, and more. Although there are slight differences in various places, the spring of Beijing 🍃 has truly arrived.

The most unmissable spot for flower viewing recently is the magnolia in Beijing International Sculpture Park 🏞️, which is currently in the budding stage. The flower buds are just beginning to stretch out, revealing a hint of the color of the flower petals and leaves, yet their shape resembles that of little birds 🐦. If the magnolia's blooming period is only a brief 7-10 days, then the time to see the "Magnolia Bird" is even shorter.

Beijing International Sculpture Park is divided into east and west areas, separated by a 🚦 Sculpture Park Central Street, with an underground passage connecting them. The east area has a children's playground 🛝, suitable for walking with kids, while the west area is mainly for flower appreciation 🌸, featuring a 5-hectare Magnolia Garden with more than 20 varieties and nearly 5000 magnolia trees, which is quite large. If you want to photograph 📸 magnolias, head straight to the west area.

🔸 The magnolias in the park have already begun to bloom one after another, and it's a great time to photograph the Magnolia Bird.
🔸 The Magnolia Garden is located on the east side of the park's west area, with a few already in bloom, but most are still in the bud stage.
🔸 There are mainly two places where the trees have bloomed and where you can 📸 photograph the Magnolia Bird: 1️⃣ near the east gate of the west area, next to the Magnolia Garden introduction sign 📝 there are two trees (with two rock youth 🎸 sculptures), 2️⃣ entering from the west gate of the west area near the Peony Garden, next to a building with white walls and gray tiles 🏘️.
🔸 The branches of the magnolia tree are high, so it's best to use a telephoto lens to shoot the "Magnolia Bird", and mobile phones 📱 with 5x or 10x zoom function will also work.
🔸 When photographing the Magnolia Bird, 🔍 finding the right angle is most important, and the flower buds presenting a bird-like posture from the side make for a better shot.

For walking with kids, you can go to the east area, which has a children's playground suitable for little ones 👦 to play.
The park is famous for its art sculptures 🗿, with variously shaped sculptures visible everywhere, making it suitable for a leisurely stroll 🚶‍♀️ and slow viewing.
