Ermei Book House is located in Sanfang Qixiang, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It was built in the Ming Dynasty. It was the former residence of Lin Xingzhang, the principal of Fengchi Academy in the Qing Dynasty. The name "Ermei Book House" was given after the book was printed, so it became the synonym of this house. It has a history of hundreds of years. It was greatly renovated during the Daoguang and Tongzhi periods of the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the famous ancient book houses in Fuzhou and is positioned as the "Fujian Folk Museum". Furniture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties is displayed by the Fujian Cultural Relics Store.

The Ermei Study House occupies over 2,000 square meters and features five courtyards, with a rear entrance leading to Pagoda Alley. The fourth courtyard's flower hall was originally the master's study, and two plum trees stand in front of it, giving the studio its name, "Ermei Study House." The main doors, windows, and siding are all made of nanmu wood. The doors and windows feature double-layered carvings, and the sidings and upper panels of the doors are painted with theatrical theatrical stories, flowers, birds, and trees. Each courtyard is separated by high walls, with rockery and snow caves serving as passageways. This is a typical example of a Ming and Qing dynasty residence in Fuzhou.
