Guilan Mountain is located in Yanghe Shui Township, Duyun City, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, 50 kilometers from downtown Duyun. " Gui " in Shui dialect refers to peaks flanking a stream, while " Lan " in Shui dialect refers to a stream. Its name suggests the mountain is surrounded by dramatic peaks and crisscrossed by clear springs. Guilan Mountain, with an elevation of 1,025 meters, is divided into the Nose Rock Scenic Area, the Grand Canyon Scenic Area, and the Salang Golden Mountain Scenic Area, with numerous natural attractions scattered along its east-west axis .
Guilan Mountain boasts numerous waterfalls, the most spectacular of which is the Thousand-foot Waterfall. Its cascading water is deafening from a hundred meters away, and the splashing water, bathed in the setting sun and dazzling with rainbows, is truly captivating, leaving visitors wanting to return. At Yanjiaozhai Waterfall, the upper cascade flows gently over the rocks, while the lower cascade gushes down, cascading for several feet, leaving a chilling chill.
