Spring Outing: The Charm of the Summer Palace

The Summer Palace is vast, so it's recommended to visit on a weekday morning. Arriving early might help you avoid crowds and tour groups, allowing for a more relaxed and leisurely experience. However, I imagine the Summer Palace at dusk would also be stunning, leaving a small incentive for a return visit.

This time, I only purchased the entrance ticket instead of the combo ticket, as some areas inside are under restoration. It's advisable to bring your own snacks and drinks.

At a small shop near the entrance, I bought the Summer Palace-themed creative cookies called "Shang Shang Qian" for 38 yuan per can. They are both delicious and fun, and my family and friends loved them too ☺️. If you miss them at the Summer Palace, it seems they are also available at the Capital Airport, though I didn't check.

Next stop this early spring: visiting pandas! 🐼
