The Summer Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Beijing, China. It is one of China's most famous imperial gardens, the palace was a retreat for emperors. Renowned for its ornate temples, beautiful lavishly landscapes, classical architecture and rich history.
We had a visit to this palace a couple of weeks before, the weather was just nice. We have spent
2.5 hours for a leisurely walk around the palace, admiring the spectacular architecture and scenic beauty. It was a wonderful experience!
The palace features the Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill, and the iconic Seventeen-Arch Bridge are breathtaking, the lake offers boat rides too. There have several iconic landmarks such as:
⏩ The Long Corridor which is 728 meters of painted walkway.
⏩ The Marble Boat, a unique Western-style structure by the riverbank.
⏩ Tower of Buddhist Incense which offering the breathtaking panoramic views.
Overall, The Summer Palace is great for walking and relaxation, we literally enjoyed it and captured some nice pictures.
▶️ Entrance Ticket to the Summer Palace is RMB 30 (peak season) and RMB 20 (off-season).
🕰️ The palace is open daily from 8.30am to 16.30pm (Nov - Mar), and closed on Mondays (except for public holidays).
