Beijing | Bai Pu Temple: A Centuries-Old Temple with a Magical Atmosphere

If you think all of Beijing's temples are located in bustling urban areas or near the imperial city, then you definitely haven't visited this mysterious spot hidden in the mountains—Bai Pu Temple.

It may not be the most famous, but it is certainly the most enchanting: a red temple gate nestled between mountain cliffs, stone steps winding upward, the temple surrounded by mountains, and the mountains shrouded in clouds, creating an overwhelming sense of seclusion.

Bai Pu Temple was built during the Qing Dynasty and has a history of nearly 300 years. Here, you won't find crowded worshippers, only serene forests and towering ancient trees. Especially after rain or when fog rolls in, the entire temple seems to float among the clouds, making it the perfect place to capture scenes reminiscent of a "Chinese version of Studio Ghibli."
