✈️This trip to Beijing was all about soaking in the authentic old Beijing charm, so I chose this unique hotel in Jinbao Street (near Wangfujing): the Waldorf Astoria🏨
A perfect blend of old and new, with two completely different Waldorf Astoria properties just across the street from each other❗
✅One is a courtyard house, where every corner exudes historical charm
✅The other features modern luxury with distinctive dark bronze latticework, walls adorned with embroidered silk panels, and black lacquered door frames
🚗Conveniently located near attractions, just about 1 km from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, National Museum of China, and National Art Museum of China
💗I highly recommend the family rooms with twin 1.5m*2m beds, including themed cartoon rooms. Welcome fruits and snacks are prepared upon arrival
There are also hidden room types: terrace rooms, of which there are only 9
From the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see Beijing's central shopping district and the tiled roofs of historic hutongs
👍🏻The smart system controlled by tablet is fantastic. Room tableware is from Narumi, and toiletries are by Salvatore Ferragamo, which are exceptionally good
The hotel features a spa center, luxury spa, 24-hour fitness center, and indoor heated pool (open from 6:00 to 22:00)
🍽️Breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel or through room service
For room service, simply fill out the breakfast menu the night before and hang it outside your door
Breakfast is semi-buffet style, and the third-floor Chinese restaurant has one Michelin star⭐
The hotel's chefs truly understand Chinese tastes, making almost every dish delicious
Portions are consistently generous, with cold dishes, bread, and a luxurious dessert cart all available buffet-style...
The motto here is: no leaving until you're full
