Among the thousands of kilometers of Great Wall, Badaling stands out as the most fully restored section, making it safe and accessible for visitors of all ages.

Its wide stone pathways, intact watchtowers, and robust construction offer a vivid picture of how the Great Wall looked in its prime.

The wall here is 7.8 meters (26 ft) high and 6 meters (20 ft) wide, wide enough for five horses to ride side by side.

There are over 40 watchtowers along the Badaling section.
