#mytraveldiary

Mutianyu is one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall of China, located about 70 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of Beijing. It’s renowned for its stunning views, well-preserved condition, and relatively fewer crowds compared to the popular Badaling section.

Scenic Beauty: Mutianyu is surrounded by dense forests, hills, and mountains, offering spectacular panoramic views especially vibrant in autumn with colorful foliage.

Well-Restored: The wall here has been extensively restored and maintained, with many watchtowers intact.

Less Crowded: It tends to be less touristy than Badaling, giving a more peaceful experience.

Length: Approximately 2,250 meters (1.4 miles) of wall open to visitors.
