Qianmen Street is a historic district in the heart of Beijing, brimming with the charm of ancient-style architecture blended with modernity. The entire street is paved with newly restored stone slabs, creating a beautiful setting. A vintage tram runs through the area, adding a classic atmosphere. Both sides of the street are lined with famous shops, tea houses, souvenir stores, and renowned local restaurants like Quanjude, famous for its Peking duck.
Another highlight is the view of Zhengyangmen Gate, which stands majestically at the northern end of the street, adjacent to Tiananmen Square. The gate is clearly visible both day and night, and in the evening, when illuminated, it becomes even more stunning and romantic. This area is perfect for strolling, taking photos, and experiencing the nostalgic ambiance of old Beijing that still lingers in the present day.
