Pin the celebrity tree of Biei city. Come take photos!

#Eatwithmmeegowithme is here to share a pin of a white minimalist celebrity tree in Biei, Hokkaido!

In winter, Biei has a famous place where everyone must come to take a picture to upload on social media, which is the Celeb Tree located in a vast, white rice field as far as the eye can see. It gives off the ultimate minimalism!
How to get there: From Biei city, you have to drive or, like us, hire a taxi. We recommend renting a car if you have driven in snow before because the taxi fare is twice as expensive!
We actually rented a car, but when we arrived at the event, the officer said, "You Today is Very Dangerous" and showed us a news photo of a snowmobile accident in which 2 Singaporeans died. 😰 So we had to walk down to take the JR at Asahikawa to Biei instead.
The taxi fare is charged by the hour. For us, we collected everything in 1.5 hours. The price was 9,640 yen or 2,000 baht. We had to contact a taxi to take us around at the Tourist Information. After exiting JR Biei Station, walk to the left.

⭐ Shirahige Waterfalls
Another place we went to was Shirahige Waterfalls. The last time we came here, we went to Blue Pond and didn't see anything. This time, we intended to go to the waterfalls instead. We took a bus at the Dohoku-bus stop. The bus stop is opposite the Tourist information (you can ask the staff). Look for the front of the bus that says Shirogane Onsen.
Take the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the Shirahige Waterfalls stop. Walk for 3 minutes and you will arrive.
Or if you want to drive, you can fill in this Map code:

Warning! These trees are in the agricultural area of the villagers. They have a fence around them to prohibit trespassing because tourists have stepped on their crops and damaged them (we used an app to remove the fence in some photos). If anyone goes there, please respect the rules so that you will have a place to take beautiful photos. 🥰
