A Leisurely Hokkaido Trip - My first summer trip to Hokkaido, of course, included a sea of flowers. Although I'd missed lavender season at the end of August, I still saw a vast expanse of sunflowers and other vibrant flowers. In the breezy weather, I spent the day relaxing.
The next day, we visited the Blue Pond, whose turquoise waters were so tranquil. We then took the children on a whitewater trip. It was their first time whitewater rafting. Floating along the river, the water was clear and cool, and amidst the vast forests along the way, we felt a sense of tranquility and connection with nature. There were a few rapids along the way, and the thrill of rushing down was a thrill for the children.
The next day, we made a special trip to Shakotan, as that was the main purpose of my trip, and I absolutely had to try Shakotan sea urchin. Its sweet, smooth texture was unforgettable.
Afterwards, we visited Cape Kamui. Although we couldn't reach Cape Kamui due to recent bear sightings, the view from the observation deck, with its vast expanse of ocean, gave us a sense of the Cape's majestic tranquility. Finally we returned to Sapporo, ate, shopped and went shopping, and the few days of vacation passed!
