Cheongui Lake in Late October

By late October, Cheongui Lake had already embraced winter. The once vibrant blue waters had turned slightly murky, nestled among the snow-laden trees. Yet, the lake's hue remained mesmerizing. Perhaps because it hadn't frozen over yet, the surface gently rippled, occasionally revealing a deep blue beneath.

The crunch of footsteps on the snow echoed softly, and even breaths seemed to dissolve into the serene silence. Seeing that color in person, after only knowing it through photos, felt strangely unreal. Despite the chill biting at my fingertips, I couldn't help but keep gazing at it.

Soon, the lake will likely freeze solid. I felt fortunate to have seen it before that happened. Cheongui Lake, blanketed in snow, was a cold yet warm landscape.
