Bilbao: Witnessing Europe's Greatest Modern Architecture! 🇪🇸✨

I just wrapped up my long-awaited trip to the Basque Country, and Bilbao absolutely delivered on its promise of extraordinary architecture!

I finally got to see the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in person – a true icon of Deconstructivist architecture. It's wild how it looks like a "great building" from every single angle, and honestly, seeing such a remarkable structure alone makes a trip to Bilbao completely worthwhile.

My only slight disappointment was that the museum's actual collection, its quantity and quality, and how they utilized the exhibition space, still seemed to have room for improvement compared to some of Europe's top modern art museums. I felt like the internal experience didn't quite match the breathtaking external beauty of the building itself.

However, the outdoor sculptures truly left a lasting impression! The spherical installation, the famous "Puppy" floral sculpture, and the giant spider sculpture were all much larger than I'd imagined, and quite impactful to see up close. "Puppy" by Jeff Koons and "Maman" by Louise Bourgeois are just incredible pieces that perfectly complement the museum's unique design.

It was a fascinating experience, balancing the awe of the architecture with a critical eye on the art within!
