The Sacred Vihara Avalokitesvara Graha temple

The magnificent Vihara Avalokitesvara Graha or Guan Yin Temple are one of the popular tourist spots in Bintan. The according to our tourist guide, this is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia and is a very sacred place. The temple is very beautiful with the golden ornate statue of goddess Guan Yin as its centerpiece. The intricate designs of the pillars and the walls is very awe inspiring, deeply rooted in Oriental arts and architecture. A very peaceful place as we had the place to other tourists in sight!
