#birminghamtrip This day in Birmingham unfolded like a gentle escape through green spaces, peaceful waters, and academic beauty.
I began at The Vale, where the lake shimmered quietly beneath the morning light. Surrounded by soft lawns and blooming trees, the scene was pure calm—swans gliding by, students strolling with coffee, and the red-brick rooftops of student halls peeking through the trees.
From there, I headed to Cannon Hill Park, one of the city’s most beloved green spaces. The park was alive with color—flower beds bursting into bloom, families rowing boats on the lake, and artists sketching under old oaks. I wandered through the MAC arts centre, grabbed a coffee, and paused to soak in the vibrant energy.
Finally, I made my way to the University of Birmingham. Walking through its grand red-brick quadrangles, past the towering Old Joe clock tower, I felt the weight of knowledge and history in the air. The Lapworth Museum of Geology offered a quiet moment among ancient fossils and glittering minerals.
From The Vale’s lakeside stillness to Cannon Hill’s lively green heart, and the university’s timeless elegance, this journey showed me a softer, richer side of Birmingham—where nature, learning, and leisure intertwine.
