Learn how to get to Boracay Island 🏝

✈️ 🚌 ⛴ Getting There - Boracay is a small island in the Philippines and like many other tropical islands it is hard to get to.
There are 2 airports located near Boracay, Caticlan is a smaller airport just a few minutes drive from Caticlan Jetty Port, and Kalibo International Airport is 2 hour drive from Caticlan Jetty Port. Anyway, since Kalibo Airport is a bigger airport, most of the tourists heading to Boracay land there.
Once you land in Kalibo International Airport, you will need to arrange transportation from the airport to the Caticlan Jetty Port. If you’re a solo traveler, you may take a bus or a minivan, if you are a group under 4, it’s easier to take a taxi, if you’re a group of more than 4 people, it’s better to take a bus or minivan. Some minivan companies include the boat fare in your ticket as well.
Once you are at the Caticlan Jetty Port, you will need to take a boat to get to Boracay and once you arrive in Boracay you’ll need to take a tricycle or a tuk-tuk to get to your hotel.
What a long and complicated journey, isn’t it?

🏖 🚁 🚤 Attractions - Boracay offers plenty of attractions, such as: snorkeling boat trips, chilling on the beach seats by the sea and helicopter rides. I personally enjoyed my party boat trip, it was lots and lots of fun!

🏨 Hotels - Like in any other country, you get what you pay for, if you demand 4-5 star hotels, book them! Don’t forget to read recent reviews to determined whether they are good or not. Hotels providing beach access is my choice.

🍲 Food & Restaurants - Local food in Philippines isn’t really good and I did get food poisoning on Boracay. Bring your stomach medication if you plan to visit Boracay and don’t overeat seafood if your stomach isn’t used to seafood. So many of my friends got food poisoning in Philippines as well. So be careful 🙌

🛍 Shopping - You can buy souvenirs near White Beach and that’s all, Boracay isn’t really a shopping destination.

I hope my guide makes your trip to Boracay easier! Need more information? Ask in the comment section below!
Enjoy 😊
