Lofotr Viking Museum in the Lofoten Islands

A visit to the Lofoten Islands wouldn't be complete without stopping by the Lofotr Viking Museum! Located in Borg, this museum is situated at a site where numerous Viking artifacts have been unearthed. It is said to be home to the world's largest Viking building. The centerpiece of the museum is a massive reconstructed Viking longhouse, built to scale based on archaeological findings. Inside, you'll find wooden structures, a hearth with hot soup cooking, animal furs, and many tools used during that era. Adding to the authenticity, there are even people dressed in traditional Viking attire, making you feel as if you've stepped into a scene from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Highly recommended!
