2 Lakes of the Dolomites, Italy
The Dolomites are a large mountain range in Northern Italy, perfect for nature lovers like us. At first, I didn't think that Italy would have such beautiful nature. And the unique shape of the Dolomites' rocky mountains stands out in every city that covers the Dolomites.
And another highlight of visiting Northern Italy in the Dolomites is the lakes, which I can say that each one is equally beautiful. The highlight of each place is the color of the water and the background view of the Dolomites. In this post, I'd like to share 2 highlighted lakes.
1. Lake Misurina
Located not far from Cortina d'Ampezzo, it's an easy, comfortable drive-through route. There's a parking lot where you can get off and take pictures or sit and relax while enjoying the view of the lake. The highlight is that the lake overlooks a yellow hotel, standing out below a valley in one of the Dolomites. We can walk around the lake, enjoy the view and breathe in the fresh air all day long. There are also many restaurants, hotels, and souvenir shops around. I slept by the lake for 1 night, and enjoyed the view all day long.
2. Lake Braies
It is not far from Lake Misurina. The highlight of Lake Braies is the color of the water, which is very clear blue. You can see the gradient of the water color according to the depth and shallowness of the water. This gives us an amazing view of the gradient of the water color. The water of the lake is still, so taking pictures will make it look like a mirror. At Lake Braies, tourists like to paddle a boat in the middle of the lake and take beautiful pictures back. When I walked into the lake, I was shocked because it was so amazing. It was so beautiful that I stood there, stunned for a moment. I guarantee that it is worth it. You can easily drive here. The road is good and the view is beautiful all the way.
