a day by the lake in the Dolomites: Lago di Braies

Visit Lago di Braies from Cortina d’Ampezzo by taking bus 445 to Toblach and transferring to bus 442. Along the way, you will see many beautiful landmarks like the Tre Cime peaks and Toblacher See. Once you get to Lago di Braies, you can take the 3-4km walk around the lake or rent a rowboat to go out on the water. You can also swim or picnic by the lake. The path is fairly level and there are handrails/steps on a small uphill section near the boathouse. Do look out for the occasional cow which can be a fun surprise! A perfect day of fun for the family
