Located near Bupyeong Station, Jeju Butchery is a meat restaurant that specializes in cross-aging Jeju black pork for a richer, more flavorful experience. The restaurant combines wet and dry aging to create a smooth, rich flavor. The Jeju-inspired interior and dolhareubang (stone statue) sculptures create a cozy atmosphere. This time, I ordered Jeju Special Samgyeopsal, Jeju Butchery Jjolgitsal, and Jeju Butchery Jjoldeuksal. The pork belly was juicy and rich with a savory fat, while the jjolgitsal, true to its name, had a firm texture and a pleasant chew. The jjoldeuksal was soft and light yet pleasantly springy. Side dishes like meljeot (fermented fish roe), green onion salad, bracken, and white kimchi complement the meat perfectly, and the staff even helps with the first layer of seasoning, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Finish with pork kimchi stew or fried rice for a complete Jeju-style meal.

This is a great place to add to a cozy date or dinner near Bupyeong Station.
