Putian Phoenix Mountain Park, a provincial-level scenic spot, is located in the mountains west of Putian City, approximately 1 kilometer west of the city. Named Phoenix Mountain because its shape resembles a phoenix spreading its wings, Phoenix Mountain is a remnant of the Daiyun Mountain range. Standing at 347 meters above sea level, the mountain range stretches from south to north, covering an area of 11.4 square kilometers. Within the scenic area are attractions known as the Twenty-Four Scenic Spots of Putian, including Nanshan Pines and Cypresses, Stone Chamber Smoke, Zhiquan Pearl Waterfall, Bell Pond Rumbling, and Mulan Spring Rising.
The gate of Putian's Phoenix Mountain Park boasts a unique design: tall, majestic, and spectacular, its milky-white concrete columns and tower lights forming a row of towering gates. Climbing 49 stone steps, the park's distinctive stone archway, "Phoenix Mountain Park," reveals the park's entrance. The modern "Juchang Pavilion" and "Fuxiang Pagoda" tower into the sky, creating a sense of lofty ambition. This modern structure blends traditional Chinese architectural styles. The pagoda stands 35 meters tall, a reinforced concrete structure with a square shape and seven stories. Its central axis is solid, and the staircase spirals upward. During the day, ascending the seventh floor offers panoramic views of the mountain scenery and the revitalized ancient city. At night, ascend the pagoda and the ancient city transforms into a sea of lights, ablaze with light. Its base, nestled in the mountain's contours, offers a captivating illusion of a magical palace below. Standing on the platform, one can overlook the 6,000-square-meter "Phoenix Lake" to the south of the park, known as the Water Paradise. The zigzag-shaped lake, with stone-paved banks, is planted with flowers, fruit trees, and dotted with rockery pavilions. On the shore, the small, sky-blue buildings, lush lychee trees, dense green pine trees, and unique pavilions and rockery all emerge from the clear water, reflecting the entire garden in the lake, creating a captivating contrast between the surface and the depths.
