If you take Busan Line 2 and go straight from Seomyeon to Jangsan, Haeundae, you will come across Centum City, the most forward-looking city in Busan. Centum City was created as a planned city in Haeundae, Busan about 20 years ago, and is a city that systematically separated the road network, residential areas, and commercial land to reduce the chronic problems of traffic congestion and overdevelopment in Busan.

Compared to Jeonggwan-eup, Busan and Myeongji New Town, Gangseo-gu, Busan, Centum is a slightly older new city, but it still serves as the center where the tallest buildings in Busan are densely packed.

Thanks to the development of Centum, the commercial districts of Busan have diversified to include Haeundae, Gwangan, Centum, Seomyeon, Nampo, and Busan National University, and the traffic inconveniences in densely populated areas such as Haeundae, Suyeong, and Gwangan have been somewhat resolved.

Anyway, if you were to pick a landmark building in Centum City, most people would cite Shinsegae Department Store as an example. In fact, I rarely had the chance to visit Centum City itself while traveling or on business trips to Busan, but I was excited to go this time.

Is this a department store? Really?
I’ve been to Shinsegae Department Store Yeongdeungpo often, so I’m familiar with it, but this was my first time seeing such a large department store. The building itself is tall, and there were two other buildings besides the main building. I can’t even begin to describe all the stores and shops here.

The owner of the house had already eaten, and since this was a short-term business trip, I brought all my clothes, so I visited just to look around. My friend who lives next door is from Myeongnyun-dong, Busan, and he said he didn't bother to go all the way to Shinsegae at Centum Station because there's a Lotte Department Store near Myeongnyun Station. In the end, it was both our first time at Shinsegae.

First of all, I don't know where the bathrooms are. I found the elevator right away, but there were so many stores that I couldn't see the location of the convenience facilities. It was fun to look around, but... hehe

I personally like Lego, so I was quite interested in the Lego official store. If I had enough money and wasn't on a business trip, I would have bought 3-4 items from the Lego store,,,

The stores in the luxury goods section were also huge. It seemed like all the brands that we usually call luxury goods were gathered together. Balenciaga, Fendi, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, etc.

The thought that I should just stay in Centum and have fun the next time I traveled was rising in my throat.
