Egypt’s Grand Mosque, also known as the Misr Grand Mosque or Egypt’s Great Mosque, is a stunning new Islamic landmark in the New Administrative Capital. It is one of the largest mosques in the world, ranking third in size after the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina.
Location & Size
Perched on a high plateau overlooking the New Administrative Capital, the mosque spans 476,000 square meters. It can accommodate around 137,000 worshippers, making it one of the biggest mosques globally.
Architectural Design
The mosque’s design is inspired by traditional Islamic Mamluk architecture, blending historical elegance with modern grandeur.
