Three-Day Journey Through the Mountains and Seas of Cangnan

Cangnan County Three-Day Itinerary (Wenzhou Cangnan)

🚶🏻‍♂️ Itinerary:
1️⃣ Day 1: Cangnan North Bus Station → Yucang Mountain → Cangnan Intime City → Accommodation near Intime City
2️⃣ Day 2: Cangnan County Cultural Center → Cangnan County Museum → Cangnan North Bus Station → Yuliao Golden Coast → Yandun Mountain → Camping at Yandun Mountain
3️⃣ Day 3: Yandun Mountain (sunrise viewing) → Wucheng Scenic Platform → Moon Bay Beach → Xiaguan Old Street → Nanguan Island → Cangnan North Bus Station

🚶🏻‍♂️ Experience:
1️⃣ Day 1: Starting from the bus station, we hiked Yucang Mountain from its base elevation—not too tiring. The mountain is perfect for a leisurely stroll. We bought discounted fruits and pastries at Walmart in Cangnan Intime City, which lasted us until the last day of the trip—great value!
2️⃣ Day 2: Heavy rain in the morning made us wake up late, so we visited the local cultural center and museum first to learn about the area. We didn’t head to Yuliao until noon. Yuliao Golden Coast Beach was lively and spacious. As evening approached, we walked up Yandun Mountain, hoping to explore the coastal boardwalk, and stumbled upon a campsite where we decided to stay overnight.
3️⃣ Day 3: Woke up early to watch the sunrise from the rocks near Yandun Mountain’s viewing platform, but thick clouds only allowed a glimpse. After a nap back at the campsite and a quick meal, we checked out and headed to Moon Bay Beach. With fewer crowds and soft sand, walking barefoot in the sea was delightful. Took a bus to Mazhan Town Transfer Center, then switched to a rural bus to Xiaguan. Strolled through Xiaguan Old Street and enjoyed a bowl of seafood noodles. Took a boat to Nanguan Island, the southernmost island in Zhejiang. Walked part of the rocky coastal path but had to turn back due to rising tides. Finally, took a bus from Xiaguan Station back to Cangnan North Bus Station, concluding our Cangnan adventure.

🚶🏻‍♂️ Transportation:
1️⃣ Entirely "rural buses + walking." Public transport is quite convenient, ideal for backpackers. For groups, renting a car or driving is recommended.
2️⃣ Cangnan North Bus Station is right next to Cangnan Railway Station, with rural buses to major scenic spots.

🚶🏻‍♂️ Tickets:
All major attractions in Cangnan County (Yucang Mountain, Yuliao, Wanyao, Yanting, etc.) are currently free.

🚶🏻‍♂️ Food:
Qiaodun mooncakes (haven’t tried them yet), potatoes (recommended by a local), seafood (only had the mixed seafood noodles—decent), and more.

🚶🏻‍♂️ Notes:
Wanyao Scenic Area is at the foot of Yucang Mountain—visited before. Yanting Scenic Area is for next time.
