On Top of Africa: Table Mountain Views”

When you come to South Africa, in addition to visiting the African savannah to see animals, you definitely cannot miss Table Mountain in Cape Town!
Table Mountain is listed as one of the seven major natural wonders of the New World, along with the Amazon rainforest, Jeju Island, Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Puerto Princesa Underground River, and Komodo National Park. It was formed about 600 million years ago and after a long period of weathering, it has formed its current flat mountaintop.
When the weather is good, you can take a 360-degree rotating cable car from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain and enjoy the magnificent view of Table Mountain and the city view of Cape Town. In addition to the cable car, Table Mountain also has multiple climbing routes. If you have enough energy and time, you can also challenge climbing the mountain!
This time I chose to take the cable car up the mountain and then hike down. The top of Table Mountain is about 1,084 meters above sea level, and it only takes about 5 minutes to reach the top by cable car. The scenery at the top of the mountain is very flat, covered with rocks and vegetation that have been weathered by wind and frost. Table Mountain has a unique ecological environment and is home to many rare plants and animals. If you are lucky, you will have the opportunity to see animals such as hyraxes, lizards, and various birds.
The scenery of Table Mountain is very magnificent. Not only can you overlook the entire city of Cape Town, but you can also see the spectacular sight of the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. It is one of the tourist attractions that every traveler visiting Cape Town cannot miss!
