Magellan's Cross, located in the heart of Cebu City, is a significant site in Philippine history.
It's known as the cross erected by Magellan upon his arrival in Cebu in 1521,
and is now housed in a small chapel.
Admission is free,
and its location right next to the Santo Niño Basilica makes it a great place to visit both.
The interior ceiling features murals depicting missionary scenes from Magellan's expedition,
helping to understand the historical context.
While many visitors only visit briefly,
it's a meaningful visit because it offers a glimpse into Philippine Catholic culture and history.
I highly recommend including it in your Cebu city tour itinerary!
