A must-stay hotel in Jakarta ahhh!!!

Jakarta Park Hyatt Hotel Review: An Underrated Luxury Experience

🌆 The hotel is located in Jakarta. Although this city’s infrastructure resembles a third-tier city, with few high-rises and many dilapidated small houses, the Park Hyatt stands out uniquely. When the vehicle turns into the hotel’s private residence area, staff conduct a car inspection, instantly giving a feeling of being in a movie scene. After getting off, the concierge arranges security checks and leads you to the front desk for check-in (CI). The service is thoughtful throughout, providing towels and welcome drinks. After check-in, they even help carry luggage to the room, introduce the room facilities, and place the luggage.

🛏️ Room Type/Layout: This stay was in room 2705, the National Monument View Suite, upgraded from a king bed room without extra communication. The layout is reasonable, with an excellent high-floor city view; the monument is visible from the corner. The hotel was built less than a year ago, very new, with unique design in public areas and rooms. The black matte design breaks the traditional marble style, and the combination of wooden tables and lighting exudes quality. The extra-long wooden table further elevates the overall hardware level. The design sense far surpasses Park Hyatt Beijing and Park Hyatt Guangzhou, making it very photogenic.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The minibar is rich and diverse, with ample coffee capsules. The bathroom uses Le Labo 22, ensuring quality. Although planes flew overhead late at night, the hotel prepared earplugs in advance. The soundproofing has minor flaws but the attentive service compensates. The room is clean, the bed tidy, and the facilities brand new.

🍽️ Dining Experience:

- Hotel Breakfast: Variety is rich, and service is meticulous. The breakfast area uses an open kitchen design, with chefs cooking on-site, and guests can also serve themselves. It’s a semi-buffet style, with many egg and skewer dishes. It incorporates many Jakarta Park Hyatt elements and feels very high quality. However, the fruit sweetness is lacking.
- In-room Dining: Ordering communication was somewhat inconvenient, but the Wagyu M5 ribeye quality is excellent and worth trying. The recommended juice is honeydew, which is fragrant and rich. The cost for two people was about $100 (including a large steak). Remember to confirm the tax-inclusive price in advance.

💁 Service and Overall Evaluation: The hotel service is exceptional, with staff proactive and enthusiastic, and service standards extremely high. It must be the best local service personnel working here. Currently, the hotel is rated C4, but personally, I think it should be rated C5. It is a seriously underrated landmark building. The welcome gift includes a fruit basket and a welcome cake. The mangosteen in the fruit basket is delicious, while other fruits are slightly inferior. Also invited to the social hour at the bar from 5 to 7 pm that evening, with complimentary breakfast for two.

💰 Average Spending: Room dining for two is about $100 (including a large steak). Dining prices vary by person, and accommodation prices vary by membership level and room type.

💗 Other Tips: Jakarta is not a traditional tourist city and is mostly used as a transit point. If traveling to Indonesia, you can stay here briefly to experience the hotel, then head to Surabaya JW Marriott the next day to start your Bromo volcano climbing trip.
