National Museum of Indonesia

#jakartatrips

Address:
Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat No.12, Central Jakarta, Indonesia

Atmosphere / Decoration:
The museum has a clean, calm atmosphere with a mix of traditional and modern design. Inside, you’ll find wide halls, neat displays, and large windows letting in natural light. A big elephant statue in front of the building gives it the nickname “Museum Gajah” (Elephant Museum).

Highlight:
The museum has thousands of artifacts from all over Indonesia. You can see ancient statues, traditional clothes, gold treasures, and old tools. One of the best parts is the collection of Hindu-Buddhist statues from centuries ago. It’s a great place to learn about the country’s rich culture and history.
