🛵 Before You Start
* Reserve a motorbike in advance. It can be hard to find one before noon.
* If you're arriving by sleeper bus, some hostels may allow early check-in (mine did at 6:30 AM).
* Personally, I don’t recommend sleeper buses in Laos—they’re not very comfortable.
🌊 1. Tad Fane Waterfall
* One of the most impressive waterfalls I’ve ever seen.
* You can try ziplining over the waterfall for an adventurous experience.
☕ 2. CC 1971 Café
* A unique café set inside a restored old house with minimal touches.
* Has a stylish, Instagram-worthy atmosphere—great for photos and relaxing.
🛕 3. Wat Phousalao (Golden Buddha)
* A hilltop temple with a large Golden Buddha statue.
* Popular spot for watching the sunset over Pakxe.
* About 20 minutes by motorbike from the city center.
* A giant seated Buddha statue is also nearby, offering panoramic views of the city.
🔁 4. Optional: Pakxe Loop
* Just like in Thakhek, there’s an optional Pakxe Loop for motorbike travelers.
* You can explore waterfalls, Bolaven Plateau, coffee plantations, and remote villages.
* Consider spending 2–3 days if you're doing the full loop.
