Located in the west of Hong Kong Island, West Peak is 494 meters above sea level and is the fourth highest peak in Hong Kong Island. Most of the mountain belongs to Pok Fu Lam Country Park. The top of the mountain overlooks the southern, western and northern scenery of Hong Kong Island and is a popular place to watch the sunset. Xigao Mountain is close to the city and can be reached by a short hike from Xihuan. If you only want to go to the mountaintop observation deck, you can take a bus to the starting point of the Lingxiao Tower. The whole journey requires climbing more than 600 steps. Once you arrive, you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the West Lamma Channel and overlook Lamma Island.
