[Tour of the Shimokita Peninsula]

We drove around the Shimokita Peninsula.

There's so much to see. You can even see Hokkaido.
The drive on the country roads was no problem. We saw monkeys and foxes.
Shiriyazaki, famous for its Kandachi horses, apparently isn't used for grazing as much anymore after an incident where a tourist was kicked by a horse.
You can leisurely explore the whole area in two days and one night.
Of course there are tourist attractions, but there are also restaurants, hot springs, roadside stations, and supermarkets scattered throughout, so we had no trouble.
The Shimokita Peninsula is amazing in the summer. I bought a lot of Japanese cypress as souvenirs (lol).
