In Changsha! The most satisfying hotel I've stayed at is this one

I'd call Intercity Hotel the cream of the crop among Huazhu hotels! This is my fourth stay after experiencing Yantai Intercity, Shenzhen Bay Intercity, and Huanggang Port Intercity. The reasons I consistently choose Intercity are simple: first, I love its overall decor style; second, the hotels are mostly newly opened within the past two years, fitting my "new over old" accommodation principle.

Changsha Intercity Hotel just opened in 2025 with all brand-new facilities. Excellent hygiene standards ensure a clean and comfortable stay.

🏘️ Room Type/Layout:

- Prime location: Just a 7-minute walk from Kaifu Temple Station on Line 1, with quick access to Wuyi Square via subway. Kaifu Temple Station also connects to Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway for convenient travel.
- As a Gold member, I was assigned to the 35th floor with panoramic views. The city-view king room has reasonable space planning and comfortable living experience.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities:

- Complete facilities: The gym on the 36th floor, though basic, offers good views of Xiang River. The adjacent laundry room provides added convenience - staff occasionally deliver cleaned clothes to your door.
- Minibar offers complimentary Coca-Cola, Sprite, sparkling water, and standard dark beer, meeting basic beverage needs.
- Breakfast area on the 36th floor: Choosing a window seat promises delightful Xiang River views during meals.

💰 Average Cost:
Standard city-view king room with breakfast at ¥470, slightly pricier among Changsha hotels but offers good value considering Intercity's positioning, decor, and service. Highly competitive among similar-tier hotels.

- Thoughtful service: Received 3 service calls total - pre-arrival inquiry about ETA with roadwork noise warning; post-check-in availability reminder; pre-check-out extension inquiry offering 30-minute late checkout.
- Staff immediately offered water upon arrival. Every encountered employee proactively greets guests, reflecting meticulous management and high service quality.
- Newly opened Orange Crystal nearby features high-rise design (above Westin) - worth checking out if interested.

Conclusion:
As a new property, Changsha Intercity Hotel boasts modern facilities, convenient location, attentive service, and distinctive decor. While slightly expensive, its cost-performance ratio is remarkable. A worthy choice for Intercity enthusiasts and stands out among similar-tier hotels in Changsha.
