Design Hotel — Yijian·6500

In Changsha, a city where delicious food and vibrant street life coexist, there’s a design hotel that has art woven into its DNA — Yijian·6500! This time, I stayed at the Wuyi Square Chaozong Ancient Street branch, and the rooftop terrace where you can count the stars completely won me over✨

📍 Soulful Location
The hotel is tucked away in the historic Chaozong Ancient Street district, right outside is an old alley with bluestone pavement. It’s only a 10-minute walk to ifs International Finance Square, with popular spots like Chayan Yuese and Ben Luobo nearby, making it super convenient for food and shopping. The best part is the peacefulness amid the hustle and bustle; at night, you won’t be disturbed by the noise of the commercial area.

🌌 Stunning Rooftop
The starry sky terrace on the third floor is a must-recommend! Surrounded by greenery, the design is incredibly photogenic. Watching the city lights come on at dusk and wrapping yourself in a blanket to stargaze at midnight is so romantic (on clear nights, you can even see the Milky Way!). Remember to wear a light-colored dress; the terrace’s white walls and wooden railings perfectly match a soft, gentle style.

🛏️ Detail Lover’s Delight
The rooms feature a minimalist wabi-sabi style, with thoughtful touches like bath salts prepared next to the bathtub. My favorite is the paper art lamp by the bedside; the warm light cast on the rammed earth wall instantly creates a cozy atmosphere.

🍜 Nearby Food & Shopping Guide
• 3-minute walk to Chaozong Street: The old alley is most charming in the early morning, perfect for capturing cultural photos
• 8-minute walk to Xiangjiang Riverside Scenic Area: Great spot to watch the fireworks at Orange Isle at dusk
• Late-night snack recommendation: Not far away, Guangnaoke Home-style Dishes’ signature kidney flower noodles are unforgettable

💡 Practical Tips
Shooting time: The terrace is best visited before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. for soft, non-overexposed lighting
Hidden perk: The room has a free Rubik’s Cube puzzle, and you can get a “Chayan Milk Tea” as a gift

The biggest surprise this time was discovering a telescope on the hotel’s top floor! The manager said you can see Saturn’s rings on clear nights, but unfortunately, it was cloudy when I visited... leaving something to look forward to next time~🌠

✨In one sentence: Yijian·6500 perfectly blends Changsha’s lively street culture with artistic aesthetics. From the rooftop starry sky to the rice noodles at the alley’s entrance, staying here shows you what “poetic dwelling” really means. Don’t forget to bring a Wang Xiaobo book to the terrace and daydream—you’ll understand the romance I’m talking about👩‍🎨
