🏯 Wanjiali Cultural Park — A Cultural Showcase in the Mall

it was raining so we went to hide in an indoor attraction - Wanjiali Cultural Park (万家丽文化大观园). Located on the 11th floor of Wanjiali International Mall in Changsha’s Furong District, the Cultural Park brings together history, art, and modern exhibition design — all under one roof.

📍 Getting There
• Metro: Take Line 2 or Line 5 to Wanjiali Guangchang Station, and use Exit 2A. You can enter directly into the mall and access the cultural park via the mall’s internal elevators.
• Address: No. 99 Wanjiali Middle Road, Furong District, Changsha (within Wanjiali International Mall)

🕙 Opening & Admission
• Hours: 10:00 – 21:00
• Fee: Free

✨ What You’ll See & Experience
• Art Corridor & Royal Courtyard Atmosphere
A 360-meter long art gallery corridor, styled with classical garden elements, carved beams, and gold-roof pavilions. Every step reveals a new scene.
• History & Cultural Exhibition Halls
Exhibitions cover over 5,000 years of Chinese history, from the Qin and Han dynasties to the Ming and Qing eras. You’ll encounter replicas, historical photographs, and cultural artifacts.
• Red Culture & Revolutionary Themes
Dedicated sections explore local revolutionary figures and the history of the Xiang (Hunan) region, providing context for Changsha’s role in modern Chinese history.
• Wax Museum / Celebrity Hall
A wax-figure gallery displays historical figures and modern personalities. Some figures are available by prior appointment to allow close interaction and photo opportunities.
• Rooftop Viewing Deck
On the 28th floor, there’s an observation platform offering panoramic views of Changsha city. It’s also a popular spot for photos during sunset.

📌 Tips for Visitors
• Weekday visits recommended: The museum area sees fewer visitors on weekdays, making it easier to explore at a relaxed pace.
• Wear comfortable shoes: The park spans multiple levels and long corridors.
• Timing: Start in the lower historical halls, progress through the themed exhibits, and finish at the rooftop deck as the sun sets.
• Mall amenities: After exploring, you can dine or shop in the mall’s many restaurants and retail outlets located on lower floors.
