Introduction to Hunan Songya Lake National Wetland Park
Location: Situated in Changsha County, Hunan Province, the park is enclosed by Binhu Road, Xiangti Road, Laodao River Road, Wanming Road, and East Line 8, covering a total area of 3.65 square kilometers. The wetland area accounts for 2.74 square kilometers, or 75.2%, making it the largest urban wetland park in Hunan Province.
Ecological Features: The park boasts diverse wetland types, including lake wetlands (2.55 square kilometers), marsh wetlands, and artificial wetlands. The landscape features "One Bay Eight Scenes" (Qin Bay Moonlight, Nanshan Flower Harbor, Jade Steps Listening to Qin, Bo Yan Tied Boat, Willow Smoke Brushing Waves, Lotus Pond Reflecting the Sun, Lusheng Touring Rocks, and Colorful Clouds Weaving Brocade). It has outstanding biodiversity, with national first-class protected plants such as Metasequoia and Ginkgo, second-class protected plants like Liriodendron and Cinnamomum camphora; national second-class protected animals including Black Kite, Red-vented Hawk, and Common Kestrel among 11 species, as well as 38 migratory bird species jointly protected by China-Japan and China-Australia agreements.

Transportation: Take Metro Line 3 to Songya Lake Station and walk 10 minutes; for driving, navigate to "Songya Lake National Wetland Park." There are multiple parking lots nearby, and sightseeing bicycle rentals are available within the park.
