Just back from North Africa, my soul is still lost in the Sahara😭... This 13-day Tunisia + Morocco loop trip is definitely one of my most "wow" travels in recent years! Sharing with sisters who want to unlock off-the-beaten-path destinations👭

📍Tunisia
A must-visit for Star Wars fans! We drove a 4WD🚙 into the Matmata desert, and those yellow earth fortresses instantly transported me to the planet Tatooine✨

20 minutes by taxi from Tunis city
Local feature: Every door is exquisitely carved blue, full of bougainvillea, definitely the North African version of Santorini💙

📍Morocco
Chefchaouen: Not just blue! Deep in the alleys are 🐱cats, painted pottery, and wool blankets, every snap is a cultural masterpiece
🌟Best photo spot: Beside Ras El Maa waterfall
Fes: Stay at Riad Fes Courtyard Hotel (Address: 15 Derb Idrissi, Fes)
The rooftop offers a sunset view over the ancient city🌄 Local music and dance performances are stunning, the sound of bells during the spins is amazing
Marrakech: Took a horse carriage tour of the old city, super photogenic📸
Must visit Le Jardin Secret, a popular restaurant with a terrace to try North African millet rice!

Tunisia:
- Plum stewed beef tagine🥘 sweet and sour, appetizing
- Harissa chili sauce, use with caution🌶️
Morocco:
- Traditional mint tea🍵 needs 4 sugar cubes to taste right
- Seafood platter in Hammamet🦐 prawns longer than your palm

13 days in North Africa felt like a colorful dream with the scent of spices🌈 Now the dream is over, but I will always miss that sea of sand and blue alleys...
